DISABILITY SERVICES

Neighbourhood Central is a registered provider of NDIS, providing high quality services that will support participants to achieve their goals.
Neighbourhood Central delivers a range of flexible support services both centre and community-based, which are designed around the individual, their needs, preferences and aspirations.

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is the new way of providing support for people with disability, their families and carers.
The NDIS will provide all Australians under the age of 65 who have a permanent and significant disability with the reasonable and necessary supports to help them reach their goals and aspirations, and take part in activities to increase their social and economic participation.
Reasonable and necessary supports are funded by the NDIS in a range of areas, which may include education, employment, social participation, independence, living arrangements and health and wellbeing.
These supports will help participants to:
· pursue their goals, objectives and aspirations
· increase their independence
· increase social and economic participation, and develop their capacity to actively take part in the community.

Each participant has their own NDIS plan that identifies the outcomes they wish to achieve, the supports that will be funded by the NDIS and other supports the person requires. If you are a person with disability who wishes to participate in the NDIS, you must first be assessed against the access requirements.
For further information please call the NDIS on 1800 800 110 or check the website: www.ndis.gov.au

Neighbourhood Central has over forty years’ experience in providing quality, individualised services to people with disability and their families.
We are a person-centred organisation that is passionate about supporting choice and independence to meet individuals’ needs and to help people pursue their personal goals.
