Healthy Lifestyle and Wellness Program (CHSP Social Support Group)

Neighbourhood Central’s Healthy Lifestyle and Wellness Program is designed specifically for older people living in Parkes, Forbes and Peak Hill. This program will offer a variety of enjoyable activities to increase health and wellbeing whilst maintaining independence and quality of life. All activities aim to prevent or delay further entry into the aged care system, make you feel good and keep you living in your home for longer.
To be eligible for this program, you must be aged 65 years or older (50 years or older for Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Peoples) and be registered with My Aged Care or Contact Neighbourhood Central for a referral.
Bookings are essential.

Parkes

  • Monthly luncheon at Neighbourhood Central’s Scoble Room 11.30am-1pm.
  • Monthly Craft Group at Neighbourhood Central’s Diamond Room 1pm-3pm
  • Weekly Craft Group at Neighbourhood Central’s Diamond Room 9am-12pm

Parkes Craft Group - every Wednesday

Eligible clients are invited to bring along their current craft project and enjoy morning tea.
Bookings are open to any Neighbourhood Central client eligible under CHSP.


Craft Group is held at Neighbourhood Central (80-82 Currajong Street, Parkes) from 9am to 12pm every Wednesday.

​Parkes Community Luncheon

You are invited to join us at Neighbourhood Central for Community Luncheon. Come along on the first Wednesday of every month from 11.30am - 1pm and sample some of our fabulous home cooking.
​Lunch includes a main and dessert.

BOOKING DETAILS:
To help us prepare for this event, please call 6862 3757 a week prior to let us know if you will be attending and if you require transport.
Please advise us of any dietary requirements. 
Bookings are open to any Neighbourhood Central client eligible under CHSP.

Forbes

  • Weekly Craft Group at the HACC Centre 9.30am-12pm.
  • Monthly Craft Group at the Uniting Church Hall 1.30pm-3.30pm.
  • Monthly Morning Tea at the Uniting Church Hall 10am-12pm

Forbes Craft Groups ​- every Wednesday

The Forbes Craft Group occurs every week in Forbes. Eligible clients bring along their craft project and enjoy morning tea.
Bookings are open to any Neighbourhood Central client eligible under CHSP.


Craft groups are held at the Forbes HACC Centre (7 Harold Street) from 9.30am until 12.30pm every Wednesday.

Forbes Social Morning Tea

Social Morning Tea is held on the third Tuesday of the month in Forbes. This morning tea is an opportunity for eligible clients to enjoy some occasional light entertainment or listen to a guest speaker. 
Bookings are open to any Neighbourhood Central client eligible under CHSP.


Forbes Social Morning Tea is held at the Forbes Uniting Church Hall from 10.30am until 12pm.
