HOME MODIFICATIONS
Home Modification Service supports frail aged people and their carers so they may live more independently in the community and remain in their own homes longer. In conjunction with an occupational therapist, our service provides quality and affordable minor and major modification work with the major emphasis on access, safety and independence.

Occupational Therapists
An Occupational Therapist (OT) in-house senior safety assessment is a consultation determining the strengths and abilities of an individual and assesses risks in their home. The outcome is a plan that reduces risks, promotes safety and independence, and allows one to live safely in their home doing the things they love and need to do. An OT home safety assessment provides solutions which may include and will not be limited to assisting devices such as raised beds or chairs, bath shower and toilet grab rails. The Home Modifications team can arrange for an OT skilled in specifying requirements to meet your individual needs. Close consultation and co-operation is maintained between the client, home modification service and the referring OT. All work performed is carried out by experienced licensed builders in accordance with Commonwealth Home Support Programme Guidelines and Australian Standards AS1428.1 providing guaranteed workmanship. |

Home modifications can be provided to people living in the Parkes and Lachlan Shire Council areas.
